It has long been the case in London that you play the postcode lottery when it comes to broadband speeds. Average speeds vary by a massive 18.29 Mbits/s depending on what postcode you reside in. Using Ofcom data we have mapped the average broadband speeds across London down to a postcode level in order to give you a better idea of the variations that occur.

There is not much of a difference between north and south of the river. Postcodes north of the Thames averaged 18.03 Mbits/s whereas those south of the river were slightly higher at 18.12 Mbits/s.
