Looking at Solutions to the Challenges of Setting Up and Operationg Businesses in the Asia Pacific Region

London, 22 November 2013 - Virtus Data Centres Ltd, (Virtus), London's flexible and efficient data centre specialist hosted a networking event this week which was well attended by UK based industry professionals with an interest in the Asia Pacific region.

Entitled ‘Developing a Successful, Pan-Asian Business Strategy; Challenges, Pitfalls and Opportunities' this event enabled attendees to gain valuable insight into the Pan Asian market and the technical challenges of setting up and operating businesses there. Presentations were given by leading figures from Pacnet, Wragge and Co and CBRE.

The evening commenced with an introduction by Steve Norris (former Member of Parliament and current Chairman of Virtus and the Data Centre Alliance) which was then followed by a joint presentation by Carl Grivner (CEO) and Cardi Prinzi (President, Enterprise Markets) of Pacnet who delivered a talk focussed on the issues around delivering integrated Data Centre and Managed Connectivity Solutions between London and the Asia Pacific region.

This was followed by a discussion on the legal implications of setting up and doing business in China given by Gordon Harris (Partner) from Wragge & Co and then a talk by Gabriel Harris, (Director and Head of Acquisitions) from CBRE on the Asian market and the challenges of finding the right data centre solution in the region.
