#VIRTUSVISUALISE - Winners Announced

We are delighted to announce that the winner of our #VIRTUSVISUALISE art competition is Nur Asyikin. The runner-up is Titas Sijanas. Congratulations to you both, Nur and Titas!

After much debate, our 4 judges (VIRTUS CEO Neil Cresswell, Creative Manager Jack Brewster, Professional Photographer Stuart Conway and Art Professional Electra Soutzoglou) went away and scored each of the #VIRTUVISUALISE shortlist on the following parameters:

- the interpretation of a data centre or colocation

- creativity

- relevance

- overall look

Nur Asyikin secured first place with his abstract visualisation of a data centre and his creative use to portray VIRTUS' eco-friendly values.

He says about his entry: "For my artwork, instead of wires and all those bits and pieces I decided to use shapes and lines to represent the data centre in a whole and in a very abstract way. As in for the background, I choose to scan a piece of leaf to portray the eco-friendly concept offered by VIRTUS."

Titas Sijanas secured the runner-up place with his futuristic visualisation of a data centre, showing the significant things which happen inside them.

Titas said about his interpretation: "The main idea is to visually convey [a] data centre - despite the interesting, modern and futuristic architecture design of the main buildings, the most important, astounding and significant things are taking place inside them. The image contains 3D polygon which represents the data centre building and it is appealing for its design and shape, but what is unrolling inside of it draws up our attention much more. […]".

Nur Asyikin will be awarded £2,000 for his interpretation of a data centre while Tital Sijana will be awarded £1,000. We will be using both pieces of art work in the future and would like to congratulate Nur and Titas for their impressive work!

We were highly impressed with the quality of the work of all shortlisted projects and would like to thank all the participants for their wonderful work.
