LONDON, UK, 24 September 2026 - VIRTUS Data Centres (VIRTUS), an award-winning pure-play data centre developer-operator and part of the STTGDC Group, today announced the successful completion of a £2.45 billion financing package. The capital provides a long-term funding framework to support the continued development and expansion of VIRTUS’ data centres across the UK and Europe. The financing package, one of the largest data centre bank financings completed in the UK to date, demonstrates strong lender confidence in VIRTUS, its operating platform and long-term growth prospects. The £2.45 billion of committed funding includes a £1.2 billion green capex facility, available through both term and revolving tranches, providing flexibility to fund expansion and support its growth ambitions. The financing strengthens VIRTUS’ balance sheet and provides a framework to support the next phase of expansion. This includes the development of the company’s 78 MW, AI-ready Saunderton campus in Buckinghamshire, future investment in LONDON19 in Slough and ongoing expansion across Europe. Adam Eaton, Chief Executive Officer at VIRTUS, commented: “This financing marks an important milestone for VIRTUS. It reflects the strength and stability of our existing portfolio, our track record of delivery and the opportunities ahead. The capital flexibility it provides will enable us to continue investing in high-quality data centre infrastructure and support our ongoing growth across the European market.” The financing is provided by a strong consortium of 13 banks, led by BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Societe Generale and Standard Chartered Bank, acting as Coordinators, Senior Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners, bringing together a diverse group of relationship lenders and reflecting strong support for VIRTUS' operating platform, development pipeline and long-term ambitions. VIRTUS was advised by Simmons & Simmons. The financing consortium was advised by Clifford Chance.
