(VIRTUS), London’s flexible and efficient data centre specialist, today announced that it has been named the winner of the Best Technology Innovation category at this year’s Computer Weekly European User Awards for Datacentre and Storage. VIRTUS Data Centres received the accolade for its innovative approach to the construction of its LONDON2 data centre in Hayes, which was built from the ground up with the aim of facilitating a highly efficient operation with green credentials. VIRTUS worked with Romonet to analyse the most efficient cost models over a ten year period and deployed Excool’s next-generation cooling technology to help achieve the strongest possible model.
